Food and Drink
We at Eshcol House will always ensure that we understand our residents likes and dislikes. Like most people, food plays a huge part of our residents’ stay with us, food and drink is to be enjoyed, therefore it is paramount that the quality of food we provide is to a high standard.
We support local small businesses from where we source our meat, eggs, dairy and vegetables and that ensures it is fresh, locally sourced in the majority of cases, and that it is fresh, tasty and contains maximum nutrition.
Our in-house and highly experienced chefs cook from scratch every day producing delicious hot and cold meals. If something is not on that day’s menu the catering team wherever possible will try and find what a resident particularly fancies. If it can’t be provided that day then they will do their best to offer it later in the week.
Residents can enjoy our exquisite, flavoursome and nutritious meals, which can be adapted in textures for each of our clients following the International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative.
Meal times are a lovely time to interact with family and friends and for a small donation family members can come and join in having lunch and dinner, whether that be enjoying a sit down meal with a glass of wine at the dining table, or in the residents’ bedrooms.
Our kitchen manager has created a beautiful four weekly menu which is reviewed seasonally and changed when necessary, based on client and family feedback.
